Ive been studying 3D jewelry job for 9 months now, and I was supposed to get a job just last week. The connection I had told me to take courses before he hires me. Told me to call him back and he would hire me after taking basic courses. Now that I took the courses he tells me he already hired 2 people. I think I'm pretty screwed now cause he was my only connection for getting a job as a designer. I dont know what to do. I need a job, I cant find one, and I dont have any connections. What are some good tips for me to stand out and hopefully work under someones wing. How would I be able to get a job somewhere just to get my foot in the door when I dont have any connections. I'm having a tough time and I have very good experience now, I know I'm ready and I'm pretty confident I'll do great starting some where. The thoughts been running through my head for a long time, trying to figure out how to get a decent job just to start somewhere. It's frustrating its not happening. Already lost my initial connection.. now what do I do? Downtown is my goal.. I cant take a step forward cause im stuck. Any ideas?
