Depends on the service you are aquiring. Fast service at the doctors office isnt good and you feel like they rushed you out without answering any questions. Fast service at McDonalds is expected and bad service usually comes from it which is why they screw you at the Drive Thru. Maybe if we didnt demand so much they would get our orders right more often.

Both some people appreciate you taking the time to ask them how their day is, and other simply just want it to be fast. You just have to make sure you fast and efficient. You can sometimes tell the people that like to talk to the people that just want their service to be fast. I look for body language and their mood.

I would say neither - people expect good AND fast customer service they shouldn't feel excluded from the company because you have concentrated too much on being fast.

EasyJet began by treating customers awfully but the process done much quicker but now they are changing their schemes altogether because it is not what customers want.

I would try and get a good balance and not compromise one in favour of the other.

Good is much better.

What is the use of fast if the service is no good?
