You deserve to get into trouble because you committed fraud and it's even worse that you got a charity involved. People think that they were donating to a charity but really all the money was just going into your back pocket. Your a really horrible person if you thought that was a good idea. I'm glad your getting into trouble.
That's fraud. So, own up to it and work to repay the money you defrauded from this charity. Perhaps in doing so you'll learn that this is a nasty thing to do.
