complicated!
My friend got involved with a startup company as their head graphic designer. He already has a say in what the company does, and his work pretty much determines where the company goes. He wants to create a brand to his work and wants to make sure he gets paid for the work he does, even though right now the company can't exactly pay him right now. (He would get paid eventually.) We are wondering if there is any legal documents or contract that should be written up to protect his work, or what percentage of the profits or ownership he should ask for from the main investor in the company.
