Go ahead use my answer as your own and it's about the same as Jay's using his friend's software. If you can't understand why that is not right, you should find another career because our reputation has been tarnished enough.
Not legal. Sorry. It's like bootlegging movies. Companies have been caught before and heavily fined for having software on their systems that they don't have licensing for.
