You get a chauffeur's license or whatever is comparable in Canada. That permits you to drive people for hire. You get a limo, which will cost you $100K or something. You advertise, hopefully people will call you and you drive them to and from where they want to go. If and as and when you become successful you buy more limos and hire drivers. There are NO grants for for-profit businesses, you will need to find and invest your own money. Actually managing and promoting any business is more that just that, but that's really the core of it. Get a car, drive customers, get paid, repeat.

Hi, I want to start a limo business in Ontario but want to know more about the business. I was wondering where could I get all of my answers in one place if possible instead of calling Service Ontario, insurance companies and all of that stuff. Where could I get all of my information first and then get to those people. I have been told to work at a limo service as a driver but you only learn the driving perspective not the behind the scenes. I have been a driver for a mobile company but yet have never been told what goes on in the background with the contracts. I want to know the business side not the driving side. I just want to know how to start it up what will it cost, what grants are available stuff like that. I have been looking into information for about 2 years almost but its all US based majority. I want to call an established company and ask but I doubt they would want to talk to someone who is just wants to start out. what should I do?.
