It's not really fair to say it was faulty, it was well designed and well built. It was just very, very unlucky! It was also crewed by people unused to such a large, state of the art ship.
It was an event that left a deep impact on social history, and should be remembered. But I agree the Belfast centre smacks of cashing in!
It's not really a celebration. The titanic is famous throughout the world, and when there is an exhibition centre - it becomes a tourism attraction. The reason behind most things is that someone is making money.
An exhibition is not a celebration is it ? Whether it sunk or not is part of our history and every story should be told, good or bad.
It is more a remembrance memorial than a celebration.
