Titanic. Why has Belfast got a large exhibition centre?

devoted to the Titanic. They built it, it was faulty, and it sunk. What is there to celebrate.

It's not really fair to say it was faulty, it was well designed and well built. It was just very, very unlucky! It was also crewed by people unused to such a large, state of the art ship.

It was an event that left a deep impact on social history, and should be remembered. But I agree the Belfast centre smacks of cashing in!

It's not really a celebration. The titanic is famous throughout the world, and when there is an exhibition centre - it becomes a tourism attraction. The reason behind most things is that someone is making money.

An exhibition is not a celebration is it ? Whether it sunk or not is part of our history and every story should be told, good or bad.

It is more a remembrance memorial than a celebration.
