Tips on shoveling snow for money?

Charge each job based on how much work it is, bid the jobs. Do a much better job than they expect and leave your contact information. The best way to get work is to be working so bid low the first job and others might stop to see if they can be next.

Check on getting a snow blower if there is more work that kid power can handle. I would set a base price of $20 so you don't need to make change, don't take checks.

so I am looking to make money this year on shoveling snow , So me and my friend which are 13, live in New Jersey where it snows unlike other places. So I just want to know what am I suppose to say when I get to the door of someone , do I say "I'll shovel your driveway/sidewalk for money" or what? Also is charging $15 a good price to shovel it? When it's snowing do I wait for it to stop or do I ask people at a certain time? Also if someone my age comes to the door , what do I say? Is $15 to charge ok for my age? Add any other tips that I should know about shoveling thanks guys
