Threatening message from Ebay member?

the bidder cannot get your address until he wins and pays for the item he won. don't be worried about this You were correct to respond to his letter and so Ebay now can see your conversation there is also a place in the resolution section where you can report the buyer if you really want more assurance from Ebay you can call the at 1 866 540 3229 explain to them what happened and to look inside your email to read for themselves what was said between you and this person Ebay knows exactly how to deal with this and it's not a first for them WE ebay sellers work hard enough at this job that we really don't need buyers out there that ruin our days Good luck with your ebay site I wish you all the best PS should you want to learn more about what that idiot saw then open your page go to any other seller's page and see what you see It will be like that for everyone Good luck oh and by the way it is against Ebay policy to buy and sell through other means so as soon as you report this guy he most likely will lose his ebay privileges. and or account

You being on ebay should KNOW that the bidders cant get your address unless they win the auction and use the return address.

You feel you were threatened but dont want to report them because your afraid they are nasty in person too?

RIGHT.

Report them.

as soon as they make a bid is made on your item , they can request contact details.

if it was psychotic threatening language and you feel uncomfortable about this abuser on ebay, you could contact the Police.

If they, or any of their friends, bid on one of your items, they can pull your details. You will get an email with theirs on too.

Relax, they can't find out where you live unless you sell something to them on eBay.

He will definitely find you and make you pay for that last message you sent him. Just close your eBay account and move to another country to avoid him.

complain to ebay

Hi,

I was selling an item on Ebay and received several message from this member asking to buy it off Ebay's books. I said no each time and told them if they wanted the item they'd have to bid.

They kept messaging so I replied back asking them to stop messaging me any further (stupid thing to do in hindsight, I should have just blocked them). However they replied to my last email telling them to bid on the item if they wanted it, asking me not to message them any further (!!) and saying it would be easy for them to get my address from Ebay and to stop annoying them (they used more colourful language than that!).

Surely that is an idle threat? Is there anyway an Ebay member can find out where I live?

I've now blocked the person but worry they could possibly find out details about where I live or message me again. I don't want to report them in case they are as nasty in real life as they are on messages and I receive further threats.
