I wouldn't use CEO. You aren't an employee who reports to the board of directors.
President, while correct, may continue to get funny comments by others. It MAY come across as a bit self-important.
If I were you I'd probably just use "Franchisee" or "Franchise Owner." People will know what that actually MEANS. It means you own a Subway or something like that and you're the boss/decision maker of this small business. You aren't Donald Trump.
CEO means chief executive officer. A CEO is usually someone who leads the day to day operations of a company with shareholders. CEOs generally report to the Board of Directors.
Since you own the restaurant franchise, you would usually called President.
Frankly, I would suggest you use some OTHER title than the standard "CEO", President", and whatever. Everybody use those, and it's been used to death. Add your logo and tagline to the back side of your card.
You can use the CEO title, the President title, the President and CEO title or just put founder or owner.
yes
I am starting my LLC for a small franchise restaurant business that will employ 10-12 people. I am the only owner of this LLC and was going to list myself as "President" on my business cards. Someone asked me (in a slightly joking manner), who is the CEO? If it's only you, shouldn't you be the President/CEO?
My view is that for such a small company, for now, it is a bit much to try and cram those 2 titles in. Almost as though you're trying to make yourself seem better than you are...
I would appreciate anyones input on this. I am still "young"(30), and I don't want to come off as cocky with a big title that doesn't have the backbone to warrant a "double-title"
