It's hot niche but indeed it's profitable niche to go with. I would suggest to do social advertisement.
Most people buy pet products from supermarkets as it's cheaper. I've had two local pet stores close near me so I don't know how popular or how much money you cna make. But then you would have done all that research before hand.
The problem is the competition- supermarkets and big names like 'pets at home.'
Maybe having a market stall (if there's not already one) or offering people advice for their pets might be an idea

Check your site's meta tag keywords. Then have everyone you know google your keywords and then click on your link.

I need help getting customer,s I have set up a webpage, I have applied to appear on google maps, I have been posting flyers and placing them in pet shops, vets, and a coffee shop in a local park and posting them, I have put myself on gum tree and friday add, skills pages, yell.com and I have joined a local dog walking group what more can I do? Its still early days I am just going into my 3rd week I have had 1 enquiry through my website and one guy say he will use me in the future for the odd day through my flyers but that's it.
My webpage doesn't come out very high on a web search I have fiddled with all of the SEO settings I don't know what more I can do.
Any help would be much appreciated
