They have a Work Incentive program:
http://www.ssa.gov/disabilityresearch/wo...
Basically you can earn $65 a month extra with no consequence, anything more than that and you lose benefits amounting to 1/2 of what you earn.
It appears if you earned $265 in a month that would reduce your SSI by $100.
If you have any engaging writing skills and a passion for some subject you could try creating an online magazine style blog that could in the long run be a steady source of a bit of income through advertisement or affiliate promotions, this would depend on attracting thousands of readers a month.
If you are able to earn money on EBAY then you are not disabled enough to get SSI.
Got a family member you trust then have them set up the account & split the profits.
It's like having a garage sale Unless you do it full time.
You're not allowed to have over $2,000 total.
If you're selling stuff to make money, then yes you have to report it. But say if your selling a video game for half the price you bought it for, then don't worry about it.
Does anyone on here sell on eBay that is also on SSI or SSI disability? I would like to sell things on eBay but I am always being told that I can't because, I can't make a lot of money. If I was to make to over a certain amount that my check will be taken away. Is this true or not?
