Although a small time operator is less likely to be prosecuted for copyright infringement, some marketplace sites will not allow obvious violations to be sold. It's probably a copyright infringement if the characters can still be recognized as one needing licensing.

You are likely to get a cease and desist notce from the IP owners - if you do it on any large scale you could be prosecuted as most of these are registered trade marks (not just copyright). e.g. http://www.ipo.gov.uk/tmownerid/search?d...

you need to pay licensing fees and royalties IF they approve your design to be able to do that

Hello, I've been thinking of opening an online store like storenvy or etsy. I want to sell some custom acrylic charms (I have sketches but no finished products yet) and I've seen lots of other online stores selling charms of licensed characters.

I just wanted to know if there was anything that could get me in trouble if I drew and sold a charm of the Avengers (for example).

I'd appreciate any advice because I am a complete novice at this.
