Ratio problem! HELP PLEASE :(?

3+4 = 7

So there are seven portions to divide out, one getting 3 portions and the other getting 4 portions.

28/7 = £4 for each portion.

£4 x 3 equals one persons share whilst £4 x 4 the other persons share.

Proof £12 + £16 = £28

3:4 means I get 3 and you get 4, 3+4=7 28/7=4 so I get 12 and you get 16

Sunil and Paul work at a restaurant. As they work different hours they split their tips in the ratio 3:4. One night they got £28 in tips between them. Who got the most money from the tips and how much did they get?

Answers will be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)
