All of the survey and online crap is just that. Maybe you can earn a few pennies but most can't even do that with those. I don't want to post the name here - as the other said, look for them in your area - but I'm on a market research list locally and they contact me periodically. I've done focus groups and I did one mock trial. They pay pretty well if you get in a session - $75 - $100/hour, usually. That's for an hour or two, not all day. The mock trial was two days and I think I got $300 or something for that, but it was grueling, too. These are legitimate market research companies, not internet scammers.

Edit - so you understand - I will get either an email or a phone call maybe 4-5 times a year. It will say they are looking for people 25-35 who drive American cars, or stay at home dads, or whatever the project is about. FIRST you have to fit the profile they are looking for, then maybe you'll get in.

Look up Market Research agencies in your area. You will only find focus groups/market research is there are Market Research firms near you.

Just go to Yellowpages.com then search for Market Research near your zip code. Then call those companies to ask them how you can sign up for future focus groups. They will tell you if they are currently accepting applications or not. You might have to call 5-10 until you find one that is signing up new people

Anyone know of any legitimate sites that will pay you for your participation in market research or even in person focus groups? I've researched online and some sites seem like scams. Looking for legitimate safe companies.

Ex. My friend is paid to screen movies once a month locally.
