And just a side note, flipping houses and cars are just money pits. You might be able to get either for next to nothing depending on the area, but you need way more than $8000 to completely renovate or fix any issues with the car. I think it's nice you want to invest that money instead of spend it, but maybe you should put it on the shelf a little longer until you do some research and know exactly what you want to do with it and exactly how much you'll get back. Time has a way of randomly gifting us big ideas.

It's really not much to invest in a new venture, that typically would be a money loser for some time at first. The failure rate of new retail businesses is rather high, don;t risk what you can't afford to lose.

Starting a franchise restaurant using a proven plan has a much higher chance of succeeding that an independent idea.

A sandwich shop might cost about $80,000 to open, a McDonalds is closer to $250,000

For reference, most people fail at internet business ventures as well, but there a certain appear in being able to start for near nothing, with affiliate marketing and on site ad space rentals being some of the simpler methods. There are lots of member authored money making guides (all exaggerating the earning potential) in the WSO section of the popular affiliate marketer forum warriorforum.com .

One of the most sound potential internet investments is to but an existing web site business, they typically sell for 5X to 15X the monthly revenue, the trick is finding one with a potential for growth by refining it, the danger is buying one being offered with faked traffic and revenue numbers, a buyer must do his due diligence. Some prices are based on the speculative estimate of the actual name value. Flippa.com is the biggest web site business marketplace.

There are 39 sites being offered for between $5000 and $8000

Starting out way lower, perhaps getting a content site that earns $100 a month from a site getting near 10,000 visitors, running Adsense paid ads. (There's a verified income checker on Flippa)

You start with a business plan

You'll need a lot more than 8,000 to get any of these businesses off the ground

I recently invested in a networking business for $500. It seems to be working pretty well for me, and am able to work with one of the top leaders (he retired at age 29). He's helping me run the business successfully, and I'm hoping to do the same for others as well! Feel free to message me if you're interested and I definitely wouldn't mind helping you. :)

I want to open my own business, I have several ideas and 8000 to invest. I want a business with high growth potential but wont require me to quit my current jobs right away. I have thought about a daycare service. Buying a selling homes or cars and event restaurants. but do not have a clue of were to start.
