Is this eBay 'Job' a scam?!?

Long running scam. You are not allowed to list anything that YOU do not have in your possession and YOU ship to the buyer

The scam works like this. They send you pictures of expensive items like watches, laptops, etc to list. You list and sell them. They then ask you to keep 10% and send the balance of the money to them before they will ship the item. You send the money. They don't ship anything because they don't have any items. The buyer files an Item Not Received dispute. Ebay contacts you asking for signed proof of delivery to the buyer's address. You won't have it because you never shipped anything. Paypal refunds the money from your account and your 'employer' disappears with the money you sent

People lose thousands of dollars a week to these scams

Total scam

there are no items, so nothing will be posted, but you will end up being chased by the buyers

If someone wants to sell on EBAY they do it themselves, legally

There are variations of this scam, but they are all scams.

One version is a crook who lists items that he plans to dropship from Amazon after paying with a stolen credit card. When the card holders dispute the charges, YOU are the person who would be on the hook.

Old scam. You never sell for someone else without taking possession of the items to be sold.

Get real....why would he pay you £100?

So I was just casually looking for part-time jobs on 'Indeed' when I found a job managing an online 'store' kind of thing. I applied and the guy has emailed me back saying

"I will pay you when the auction ends.

1. If the item is sold:

YOU'LL RECEIVE £100 + eBay POSTING FEES + 5% OF THE SELLING PRICE

2. If the item doesn't sell:

YOU'LL RECEIVE the eBay POSTING FEES (I'm sure that the item will sell )

Maybe you wonder, why not sell my products myself? I wanted to start an eBay account but I've read on one of eBay's community pages that sellers with 0 feedback have not the same success as the others sellers with feedback.

You'll receive the payment from buyers into your PayPal that is linked with your eBay and deduct your payment from there + 5% of the selling price + eBay fees. This way is clear that you'll get your payment.

You'll earn £400 + per week with just one item...i think that this is fair enough."

What are the ramifications if I sell this guys item and he doesn't ship it? Or can you guys see any problems with this Job... It looks just a bit too good to be true.

Thanks
