Is it legal to include tax in prices?

As long as the tax is added on, there is no law against how it is charged. You can add it in the price or you can add it after during check out. It is all the same. Large businesses do not do it because each state charges a different sales tax and it would be too complicated to add the tax in before a product gets shipped to the store.

Not illegal. The business is required to pay it. Whether and how they collect it is their responsibility. For large businesses, it's probably easier to just let their registers calculate the tax.

Ive seen small local business do this, but have never seen large business do so. That makes me question the legality. I googled it, but I could only find information on Washinton state. I am located in Ga. I am just curious, i am not a small business owner.
