It seems to me that the problem is that your acoustic guitar isn't set up properly at the moment. There are a number of videos on You Tube that will show you how to adjust the bridge, truss rod and action of the guitar to get it more playable. Maybe you dad can help you do this? That might get him more involved and more sympathetic to your music playing, which wouldn't be a bad thing...

1) you can earn money to buy a new or used acoustic guitar

2) you can ask your parents, without whining at all, " what do i need to do for you to feel comfortable buy ing me a new acoustic guitar?"

ASk when they are not busy - you may need to actually make an appointment. really. TAKE NOTES! Have them review the notes, to make sure you got everything they said accurately. date the note - you and parents both sign AND date it. Then get to work doing those things. When you have done all those things (not just once but continue to do everything for at least a month) you can discuss with them again if your performance is good enough to get the guitar you discussed. If not, ask what you need to do - this could take months, but it almost always works.

i really need an acoustic guitar atm i wanna play one soo bad i already have an acoustic but its old and when i strum it. the sounds arent right my parents arent pleased cause i also have an electric but i need an acoustic cause the one i have is so bad the sound isnt right even after i tune it. i told them that i would sell the acoustic guitar i have atm and with that money buy a new one but they still arent convinced they think that its a waste and its no use i really need one very badly cause i wanted to start making covers wid my friends and we were planning on going to the studio. please help! >.<
