I just used a Groupon at a restaurant last weekend. You buy the Groupon online for $15 with your credit card, and print it out. The Groupon will have terms and restrictions printed on it--read them carefully. The terms on mine specified that the Groupon wasn't valid on weekends or holidays, could only be used during dinner, and required the user to make a reservation and mention the intention to use the Groupon. As long as you abide by the terms and conditions, it will work. They won't refuse the Groupon as long as you follow the rules; it came from a safe, well respected website. They'll accept it, and it will just act as a $30 coupon. You usually can't use two during one meal, but you can buy two at once.

Side note (probably unnecessary, but hey): Remember to tip according to the value before the discount is applied.

I want to get this Groupon for a restaurant. I have never bought a Groupon. I keep seeing one for "$15 for $30 worth" of food at this restaurant that I really like. So how does it work? I know I have to pay for the Groupon online with my credit card and print it out. But then what? I was thinking of getting 2 of them. What if I go into the restaurant and the Groupon does not work? I just want to know before I order it online and go to the restaurant and they don't accept it. I mean I don't want to be washing dishes. Lol.
