Gas and electric meter stopped charging us??? help?

Yes you are liable to pay for the non charged gas/elec

After all, you have used the commodity.

They shouldn't however, make you pay for all this in one lump but instead spread the payment over a period of time or load the 'debt' onto the meter to pay off.

I do think it is very strange for two different meters to stop working.

Put some cash aside just in case. They may well send you an estimated bill. Until then invest the money and gain interest on it.

Is that a bad thing? Free gas and elecricity! Don't look a gift horse in the mouth

They are going to catch it eventually and yes, you will have to pay. Its not your fault, but you ARE using the utilities for free.

Over a year ago my gas and electric prepayment meter stopped working and just stopped charging us?? We have told them loads of times over the past year and they haven’t done anything about it. Am I still liable to pay them?? Can I get in trouble??
