I'm looking into opening an etsy shop for the things I make and I was wondering how the whole getting paid thing works, I didn't really understand the etsy information on getting paid, I saw paypal as an option and I want to know if that is a good thing to pick as an otion for payment? also, what do I need in order to get a paypal account? Also, what exactly is paypal?

This s my thought/understanding, In order to get a paypal I nee money to buy it? and a bank account? the once I have that set up I post items in my shop that I have for sell and wait for someone to purchase it, once they do that the money will go to my bank account and I can take out the shipping money, ship the item, and then done deal? Is this correct?

I would really like someone who owns either an etsy shop or both an etsy shop and a paypal to kind of tutor me on this since I am absolutely clueless, thanks!
