Ebay shipping troubles what should i do?

Legally, it should be within the rules of Ebay, but, this is about ethics and morality.

“So let us regard this as settled: what is morally wrong can never be advantageous, even when it enables you to make some gain that you believe to be to your advantage. The mere act of believing that some wrongful course of action constitutes an advantage is pernicious.” Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 B.C.)

The question is what caused the postage issue. What country are you in, and what country is the seller in?

If you are both in the USA, Priority Mail Medium Box of alternate size

11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", paid for on the internet to USPS is $11.30, and at the post office is $12.35

If you are in different countries, then the intention was to sell it domestically and ship by the lowest cost method.

There are plenty of Gamecubes on Ebay USA, and you are showing prices with dollars, though could be Australia. The question is what is going on with the shipping.

I don't take advantage of other people's mistakes. My integrity is too high for that. You pay what you would expect to pay for one and accept the refund. .

Personally, I would not have pity on a seller who is too stupid to figure out the cost of shipping beforehand. I would simply ignore the message, and open an INR claim the minute eBay allowed it. If the INR claim closed without shipment, I'd neg the seller and leave 1-star DSRs across the board.

When I started selling, I lost my shirt on shipping a few times. That was BEFORE they had cheap digital scales and Web sites where you could look up shipping rates. I ALWAYS ate the shipping. There's NO excuse now. Even if the seller doesn't have her own scale, she can drop by any Post Office, UPS Store, or independent mailing center and get it weighed.

While the seller is responsible for getting the postage correct in the listing no one from eBay is going to their house and hold a gun to their head to force them to send it to you at their cost.

The seller can refund you and you will have to accept it. You can however report them and leave negative feedback. If you attempt to threaten them with negative feedback they can report you.

first, I'm kind of confused. like what do you exactly mean by refund? have you already received the item?

if you have i think you should tell her too bad so sad just not like that

maybe tell her "sorry but i can't accept refunds"

or if you really feel bad then maybe make up a story like "oh, i already promised it to someone."

Hello yahoo answer users, i am quite the predicament. I recently purchased a gamecube from a member on ebay at the price of $42 + $5 shipping. However the seller sent me a message saying that it would cost her $33 for shipping and asked if she could give me a refund.

Of course i dont want to get a refund and just want the gamecube, but i feel badly about that. I recall a person from my church group having a similar situation. He sold some dinosaur thingy-ma-bobs at $150, but ended up using up all the money on shipping it.

What should i do, accept the refund or tell her too bad so sad? Or something else, please help!!!
