Ebay no refunds?

Posted at: 2014-12-08
Sorry to be the one to tell you this dear; but there actually is no such thing as a no refund policy on Ebay. It does discourage buyers from returning items; but not the dishonest customers or customers with legitimate gripes. Either Ebay or PayPal can over rule the seller. PayPal will overrule more often than Ebay & PayPal usually sides with the buyer. If a customer goes through PayPal, Pay Pal will instruct the buyer to return the item to you & take the money out of your account & refund the money to the buyer. . That is the main reason seller payments are put on hold for up to 21 days before you can access the money.

Hope this never happens to you & good luck with your new business venture and/or sale...

So a buyer used the pay now option on my ebay auction for an iphone. I listed no refunds in the listing, how does the no refunds thing work? She paid and all, and my phone is as described. Let's say she's one of those people who are hard to please and desires a refund but damaged my phone? What happens next? How long could they be eligible for a redund even though I listed no refunds in the listing options?
