Is it worse for me to say I BELIEVE you are stupid enough to do that?
Think about that for a moment.
"Do you honestly believe that I would purposely destroy an item and make it unsellable?"
I believe that by yelling at your CUSTOMER like that, you would purposely destroy your eBay reputation and make everything you own unsellable there. Remember, you yelled at your customer who DID NOT think you were stupid.
"I do not want to lose the ability to sell my items through [eBay]."
And that's why I believe you.You value one pair of jeans more than your entire eBay account.
If you were smart, besides not leaving open bottles of glue lying around, you would have refunded your customer in full before you even told her about the damaged item. Then she couldn't open a case against you.
You are clueless about customer service and it is going to cost you dearly.
Tell the buyer, "fine I will send them to you, this is the damage" (include a photo) Advise them that if they accept this they can't return them. Be VERY careful to document every detail of the transaction.
Contact EBAY, and tell them what happened. You won't lose your ability to sell your items, I promise.
show to him photo as proof or send refund and apologise
I am a small seller on eBay. I was packing a pair of jeans for shipment, but I damaged them. I was placing the item in an envelope and spilled glue on the back pocket of the jeans. I removed it, set it on the table where the glue was (the glue had actually spilled on the table as well). This resulted in the glue getting on the front portion of the item as well. I tried to clean up the jeans, but nothing worked. I messaged the buyer explaining what happened. The buyer responded, accusing me of creating an "unbelievable story," and that I was just upset because my "bids didn't go high enough." The incident was a complete honest mistake and I don't know how to convince the buyer that this actually happened. The buyer said that they are going to report me and leave me negative feedback (when first sending the message to the buyer, I apologized multiple times for my mistake and said that if they felt it be appropriate to leave me negative feedback to do so). I am ok with the negative feedback, but what is going to happen if I am reported? I responded to the buyer by telling them "Do you honestly believe that I would purposely destroy an item and make it unsellable? I would much rather get whatever I can for it rather than destroying it and getting nothing for it." I like using eBay as it is a simple way for me to make money and I do not want to lose the ability to sell my items through the website. Can someone please help me?!
