Depends. Most worker at home people I know have a computer something related degree. They have an official job at some office that they would just sit around and do work on their computer. Non traditional hours, can do the same work from there perspective or laptop. When the project is complete..return to the office...drop it off...give a presentation...get a new project.

I know a guy that lives 4 hours away from the office. Just needs to check in once a month.

I knew an engineer that did tech support for the products his company made. No need to actually sit in the office.

That depends on what you do.

The biggest factor is your education, skills and training. For example, many tax accountants work out of their home and the graphic artist and web designer that designed my logo and my website both worked out of their homes.

However, if you are looking for some sort of "program" or "system" that you could use to make money at home, you won't find anything. Those all tend to be scams in one way or another.

Not unless you have a good idea for an internet business that you can operate from your house, otherwise you could do child minding...there's nothing available online as surveys don't pay much and there are a lot of scams out there. If you're good at craft you could make stuff to sell but there's not a large profit margin there...basically there isn't a lot.

Of course you can, just depends what you do. Lots of jobs can be done from home these days.
