Can ebay report on my credit?

When you don't follow the rules, it leads to trouble.

As a seller, you aren't supposed to back out of the sale. If the buyer had agreed to mutually agree to cancel the transaction, you could have filed a "dispute" and had the $20 cancelled out. You didn't, so it stands. And eBay doesn't know you didn't complete the sale. For all they know, the buyer paid you cash and picked the item up at your home.

At this point, you can *try* to submit the mutually agreed to cancel form, but it may be too late. If you don't pay, eBay will turn this over to collections. It's the collections area that can report this as delinquent to the credit bureaus.

it doesn't matter if you made money or not, you used the EBay process to advertise and sell your product and you have fees to pay for that service

pay the $20, there will be no end to these notices and may end up in collections

The big question is "Do you ever want to buy or sell one eBay again?" if the answer is yes then you probably should straighten this out.

they have the manpower, the resources, and the time to pursue Claims against you - those claims and judgements against you will eventually be reflected in your credit report.

I sold something on ebay. Everything was free until I actually soled it. I sold it for $150, and they were asking for $20 for sellers fees I guess.

I had a problem trying to link my checking account with my PayPal account, so within hours of selling it, I canceled the whole transaction.

They emailed me a few days later saying I still owed them, then sent me another email for $20 off my next sell (really, Ebay?)

Well its a month later and they're still saying I owe them money. I'm not paying them for something I didn't make money off of, their records should show I didn't finish the sale.

Can they report on my credit?
