Using a debit card you can only make payments. But for receiving a payment you need a current or a savings account associated with a bank or a financial corporation. You can hold a debit card associated with such an account which is entirely a different issue.

Paypal gives you security against the fraudsters.

I've asked around and was told that I could use a debit card to sell online for my own business. But I've been researching and found different posts. I've mainly found where I would have to use a paypal account. But I don't have a bank account, and I read where if you don't connect a bank account to your paypal then they'll just send you a check. However, I wouldn't be able to get it cashed.

So, I was wondering has anyone had experience in selling your items online and using just your debit card alone? I have a Visa Debit Card, would that do? It would be much easier transferring the money straight my card instead of having to go through Paypal and getting checks cashed.
