Can I trust Paypal......?

PayPal is a very trusted website but I wouldn't do it through Craigslist sales. People on there can be fishy.

Scam alert. Craiglist is for face to face transactions. Hundreds and hundreds of sellers like you are being conned by scammers and this "PayPal" payment. PayPal is safe but not the way the scammers use it. They either send you a fake PayPal receipt meaning they have not given you any money at all or they are going to use a stolen credit card to pay you which after you have sent the phone, the money you got paid gets taken back from you cos it's from a stolen or hacked account.

Sell your phone via eBay to registered, real buyers with registered and real PayPal accounts or sell face to face and get cash. Otherwise tell these buyers/ scammers that you only accept a Western Union payment. You'll never hear from them again.

It is a scam. They would most likely send you a moneygram or check for an amount more than what your selling and they tell you to cash the check, keep the amount for the item and the shipping cost, and then send the rest of the amount back to them. Not knowing that the check is indeed fake, it then bounces and you are responsible for that amount. To a lot of people it is very blatant, to others it is not so much and find themselves with a big loss.

yes , you can trust.

Ok so I'm selling my iphone 5 on Craigslist & I had like 3-4 people say they'd pay me $700 threw Paypal when I only wanted $600 & I get emails saying they paid n stuff & I guess once I tell Paypal it's shipped out I get the $700? Is that how it'll work? Like Is that trusted? & will I need a credit card? I was going to ship it, have the money in my Paypal I guess? & then go buy a cheap visa prepaid card & put it on there. Is that how it works?
