I would only consider this if I was using a major credit card that would allow me to do a charge back should things go wrong. Even if PayPal says that you're covered there are times when you will NOT be covered. A grand is a lot of money to kiss goodby.
PayPal is no longer strictly an Ebay operation.
If there was no auction showing you as a winner, it's not thru eBay.
If you have previously won an auction, it's okay to buy directly from the seller.
paypal gauruntees the transaction if you dont recive then paypal will give you the cash back. i would read there website to double check though
There is a company in Louisiana that I purchased from on Ebay with a flawless transaction. They sent me a message through Ebay saying that they could get me something that I wanted(at a discount) if we conducted the sale through PayPal. They are a brick and mortar store with good reviews from multiple places. They said that I would receive an invoice through PayPal before I sent any money. Just seems a bit sketchy to me. PayPal says that you can pay for goods and services using them. Would they cover me if something went awry? We are talking about close to $1000 transaction. Nothing illegal or prohibited in their terms of use.
