Buyer wants a refund?

Posted at: 2014-12-08
when someone bids on an auction it is a form of legaly binding contract, It would be a different story if this lady had received a faulty product then yes you would have to refund. But she cannot simply decide i want my money back because i am low on funds. She bid she payed she gets the bag!!

Just had a quick look through ebays rules etc.. she doesnt have a leg to stand on

Moreover, a good faith dispute does not include buyer's remorse (that is, the item delivered was as described in the item description, but you no longer want the item regardless of the reason). However, even in a case of buyer's remorse the buyer may open a case and eBay may refund the buyer and receive reimbursement from the seller if at any point after the sale is completed, the seller agrees in writing through eBay Messages to provide a refund upon receiving a return from the buyer. Once the buyer returns the item using appropriate tracking, the buyer may open a case and eBay may refund the buyer and seek reimbursement from the seller. However, if a buyer returns an item without agreement from the seller through eBay Messages, we will not cover the buyer's case for the return and will not hold the seller accountable (even if the seller’s original eBay listing stated a return policy).

You are better off refunding her now. Borrow money if you have to.

Advise her that it will take a few days to upload the funds, but that you are happy to refund as soon as you are able.

If you send, it will be refused, and you'll be down the postage costs as well.

Leave feedback Stating "Transaction did not complete due to buyer change-of-mind". I think some people are doing what she has done becaase of too many non-payment strikes.

If you are a private seller, and said no refunds, then it's her problem not yours. Send the bag by tracked delivery and if she chooses to reject it, that's up to her.

Send her a polite message via ebay messages saying you will be doing that because the pair of you have a binding contract and that she can always resell the bag if she now no longer requires it.

If she refuses to receive the bag, send it to her, if she sends it back keep it. When paypal/ebay contact you requesting you to refund her tell them that you and her formed a private contract concerning no returns or money backs and that she is refusing to receive the good. She bought the good under her own judgment and by clicking accept she agreed to Ebay's and your own terms and conditions.
