So you overdrew your account - now you have to pay the consequences. The lesson here is "don't assume." And DON'T give your friends access to your account - for deposits or any other reason.
The bank will charge you for it anyway - it is just that the longer you leave it in the red, the more they will charge you. There is usually an initial fee for going overdrawn, then so much per week, or per day, until you clear it. The exact charge will depend on the bank and your particular account.
That's life I trust you will be more diligent in the future
Bank charge will stand That's life again Pay up and Learn from it
Just explain to your parents as you stated above Best course

On the 10th of this month I purchased something from amazon worth about $100 and the money was taken out right away that same day. On the 13th my friend whom I lend $100 about a month ago was suppose to deposit money into my bank account. He even told me he was on his way to the bank after work to deposit my money. On that same day, hours later when I logged on to my account I noticed I had a balance of 100 and something dollars. So I figured my friend ended up depositing the money he owed me. Well, without a thought I went to the bank took the money out and used the $100 to pay my phone bill and put gas in my car. Well, now the 15 is here and I see a -$92 balance on my account. I figured it must be a mistake. So I look on my statement and see amazon took the $100 from my bank. As I was looking further at my statement I realized my friend never made a deposit. So i call and ask him and he tells me he couldn't deposit my money the day he said he was going to because he didn't get paid. (Don't know why he didn't bother to call and tell me this.) so now I am stuck in a rut with a -$92 balance in my bank account with no way to pay it at the moment. I can't ask my parents because they will flip. I'm only 18 and i get paid every 2 weeks from my job but if i let my - balance sit there the bank will charge me for it. What can I do? :/
I know I should've called my friend and asked or at least checked my statement before spending the money. Too late now.
