Are my personal training rates reasonable?

Depends where you live, but slightly high in my opinion. Especially with your experience level. Which is technically zero.

I manage a health club. The most expensive club in my town is $30/month on contract. So take that into consideration with what I'm saying. That's where the doctors /lawyers/businessmen are going.

My place is 25/ month on contract....we charge 25 per session with a package...35 for single session. I pay the trainer 70%.

That's for one trainer...I told him after a little more experience and a clientele base, we can increase that. He wanted to go lower so I said eff it....let him do it. 15/ session and small packags. He got a lot of one time clients instead of that stable 2-3x per week for life clients.

Another trainer i have....he has ten years experience....I let him set his rates and it's $30 per session with a 10 package....45 for singles.

He's been in my area for 1 year and he feels that's the sweet spot amount to keep repeat clients.

do more research like you are ding here! I am sure you are doing well!

and make sure you put yourself on SM

I am fairly educated but not yet certified. I have a large clientele I have built on my own. I was training for free for a while to gain some experience and get a feel for it, but now I feel that I am ready to begin charging for my services. I have come up with my own rates and want to know if they seem reasonable.

I want to charge $30/hr and $45/session

$225 for a package of 5 sessions ($45/session)

Or

$400 for a package of 10 sessions ($40/session) (slight discount)

Thanks in advance for any advice given to me!
