Sounds like it could well be a scam, you have inadvertently provided enough personal information to allow them to fake an identity and empty your account.
It's dumb to do business with someone with nothing but an anonymous email address.

You cold copy a unique sentence or 2 from the correspondence or contract and search the internet for it (in quotes) just to see if anyone else has reported it already. Search his name as well.
I really think you should talk to your bank fraud prevention department right away to see if you can block electronic access.

It definitely sounds like a scam. You should not deal with individuals about anything that involves sharing your personal information. Make sure to check your Bank statement or any other strange actions so you can report it. To deal with debt problems you need to search for real trusted companies to help you.

I wouldn't proceed until I spoke to someone at the bank - you call them, not the other way around. If it's a legit loan then you will be recorded in their system.
