If i make 8.75/hour how long would it take to make ￠50? I know its somewhere between 3-4 minutes, but i would like to know specifically when. Show some work please, so i can see how you did if. I tried using stoicheometry, but it didnt help much.

8.75/60 = earning per minute

0.50 = earning per minute x minutes

8.75/60 = 0.145833

0.50 = 0.145833 times X

0.50/0.145833 = 3.428 minutes

.5/8.75 = .0571 hours

X 60 min/hour = 3.43 minutes

you divide by 60 to see how much per minute you make, then divide that into 50 cents - no advanced math needed - 4th grade division
