Is there something fishy about this kijiji buyer?

Hi, can you guys please read this email conversation I had with someone from Kijiji, I feel something is fishy here, he is not even interested in knowing about the tv itself but insists about my paypal information. What should I do? Thank you all in advance, I really need someone’s advice.

A. Hello i just got your mail now...how i wish to come and view the merchandise but am out of state now....

am a marine engineer busy sailing,am in a ship right now at Bermuda......I will also like you to know that

i will be paying via PayPal...due to the distance as i am in Bermuda presently...I will need you to provide me with the following information to facilitate the Payment...Your (PayPal email)...

I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for shipping i will have my shipping agent come over as soon as you have the Payment...

Have a nice day.

A. Okay.. I will be paying the 2.9% PayPal surcharge from my account. So i will be paying directly into your PayPal account without any delay, and i hope you have a paypal account. If you have one already, just send me the address to send it to, which is the email address you use for it or you can send me a paypal money request, so once i receive the details i will go ahead with the payment through PayPal and then i will contact my shipping company after you get the payment. I will need your home address for the merchandise to be Picked Up by the Shipping Company..

I would not bother with someone giving such a complicated story, there are countless scams using counterfeit checks or in your case perhaps a stolen paypal account to pay you. One red flag is the mention of a "shipping agent" who's fees often is the means that the scam profits.

This has scam written all over it. They're always out of town, can't come see the item personally, has "an agent", and as you noticed, is very interested in your Paypal info. Ignore this person's email.

When they've having the item picked up, it's almost always a scam. I'd cancel the sale.

Scam. Just delete any emails.
