Is a gofundme for moving a good idea?

I have no car, I'm looking for a job, and my fiancé said once I save $1,000 I can move in with him. I don't know if gofundme is free and I don't know if a moving situation a good idea for me to make a gofundme account.

I've given to gofundme's in limited situations. I wouldn't even think of giving to a gofundme to help someone move. Even if you can save up $1000 it would be better spent NOT moving in with your boyfriend; doesn't sound like he is worth it.

First, why is your fiance making you save $1,000 before you can move in with him? Sounds to me like he was setting an impossible goal for a person with no job or car. You shouldn't be asking a question about a GOFUNDME account, you should be asking one about his reasoning though. If my husband had ever told me that I had to save up $1,000 before I moved in with him we would have never gotten married. Why does he need $1,000 anyway?

Whatever happened to working toward ones goals? Actually earning what you have?

In my opinion, gofundme reinforces the notion of a self entitled generation.

He sounds like a peach.
