Is 5$ for 8 cookies expensive?

I am a college student that is starting a cookie company. I have a few restaurants interested in selling my cookies. I also have a grocery store chain thats interested. I don't need to know anything about the FDA or protocol. Nothing about health and cleanliness. That is all taken care of. I just want to know what a fair price would be for 8 cookies or even for a dozen cookies?

Highly decorated cookies in a store, like big one decorated like a copyrighted character like Spongebob, might go for up to $1 each. Normal cookies,, $5 for 8 sounds really high. If they're individually wrapped and your typical model is selling them individually, and they're something really special, might go for 59 cents each or so, but not likely by 8's or dozen. Really depends a lot on the cookie. The amount you'd sell them to the restaurant for would be far below the retail price, of course. Who will stand the cost of cookies that go stale, you or the restaurant? That will make a major difference.

In college, eh? - Well, go shopping and look at prices. { You did not say what kind of cookies, how big, how elaborate, and if you will make a profit at that rate. }

yes that's way too much.

At the store, I get a whole pack for less than that, and they're like what, 20something cookies?

idk what gourmet *** cookies you think you're making...

Would you pay it? I wouldn't.
