I need a secret safe?

I need ideas to hide a small piggy bank which has over $200 dollars in cash from any friends that come over or my parents (sometimes my dad steals some of my money). I can't go in the store and buy anything or cut a hole in my wall. Any suggestions?

Find a thick book and cut the center out. Create a compartment inside the book. You've probably seen this in the movies. It does work since nobody will look inside, however if they do, they can take your stuff.

You can tape an envelope to the underside of a dresser drawer with cash in it. If you have end-caps on curtain rods you can place some rolled up cash in there. Or you could buy a small safe for a pistol that bolts down to your floor. You place it where people shouldn't find, then if they do they can't move it or break into it.

Put it somewhere where no one would ever think to look.

You could hide it in your dirty laundry hamper.

Tuck it in a bathroom cabinet, behind toiletries.

In the very back of your closet.

In your winter clothes drawer, wrapped up in a sweatshirt you don't wear.

Take a trusted family member (read: not your dad) to the bank and open a savings account. That's by far the most secure method to hide money.

Side note…I've got to ask. Why are you letting people who you think will steal your money come over? Those aren't friends, those are thieves.

Take an old pair of jeans, put the money in a pocket, put the jeans on a hangar in your closet, up against the wall (Don't forget to retrieve the money before you clean out your closet)

As a carpenter I've had a lot of fun over the years building secret drawers. It often takes longer to make the secret drawer secret than it does to build the rest of the cabinet.

1. Wrap it in a rubberband, put it in a plastic bag & store it in a PC tower.

2. Store it in a pocket of a piece of clothing you rarely use & have that hanging in your closet along w/ other clothes so it doesn't look suspicious.

3. Put it in an envelope & tape the envelope on the inside of a drawer (underneath the top).

Simplest to just go buy a money order and make it payable to yourself.

Store the receipt in a separate location.

caution: don't let the money order expire.

Good suggestion above. Sometimes it's best to be simple and not obvious. I good safe will run you in the thousands.

does it have to be hidden? Buy a briefcase with a combination lock, and then a bicycle chain (one with a plastic cover, and a combination lock) and run chain through handle and around a part of the bedpost that cannot be dismantled. {And change the briefcase lock combo from time to time.} Then it stores under your bed.

There are lots of secret hiding place objects, like fake soda cans you can buy:
