Your mom hates rich people because she isn't one.
Earn your money and if your mom is gonna be weird about it then that's her problem
Your mom should understand that you want to be successful. Show her how responsible you are but repeatedly cleaning up the house or doing nice things for her. If she actually wants to physically kill you then call help IMMEDIATELY!
It's one thing to listen to and respect your mother, but it's another to let her control your life and goals. Do what *you* want to do.
