Drop off parcel?

Posted at: 2015-07-28
am in the UK, when i buy postage online for a parcel i am sending internationally, they can either collect the parcel from me to send over OR i can drop it off at a collection point(which is easier for me because i can go when i am able to) so i had a look and one of my nearest apparent drop off point which is less than a mile away is a shop, a shop that sells alcohol. Im not sure how these work, do you just go in the shop and give it over the counter or what?

What does it matter if the shop sells alcohol - is it against your religion, or what, to be in the same room with bottles of booze?

Many of these drop-off points are in places like corner shops, petrol stations, etc., and yes indeed off-licences; the idea being that those sort of places are usually open late hours, making them more convenient for customers to access. Also, they tend to be keen to attract more people to pop in, and also to make a bit of extra income out of something like this.

The way it works is, you print off the shipping label at home and attach it to your parcel, then take it to the drop-off point, where they scan it and give you a receipt. That's all there is to it.

Just take it to any Post Office. They will sell you the correct postage and give you the customs form that has to be attached to international parcels

The fact that the shop sells alcohol is irrelevant. There is no reason why you can't go in and make any transaction that doesn't involve alcohol.

But don't you know about the Royal Mail, and Post Offices?

Have you thought of taking it in and ASKING them what to do with it?
