Do I tell the temp agency first or where i work? I would feel like I went behind their back if i went through the temp agency but i wanted other opinions.
I would tell the temp agency first. The company you work for and the temp agency likely have a contract on your work, and they company you're working for likely has to pay the temp agency a fixed amount to have you there.
If you want to work less days/hours they may need to renegotiate the contract for you with the company you're working for.
I work for a large company that has some contract/agency employees, and while the contractors/temps make an hourly rate, the company I work for pays at least 3 times their hourly rate to have them. When there is a reduction in their work hours both companies need to renegotiate the contract for that employee.
You can tell the boss first how you will be reducing your hours, and then call the temp agency for all the formalities. I mean, they are the ones who pay your salary, right? Telling your boss first would be an act of courtesy, in my opinion.
This doesnt really have much to do with marriage, right?
yahelllllll wont let me change!
