why does it say that my estimated delivery date is:
Wednesday, August 13 if it has already shipped
i;ve orderd hundreds of items(300-400) from amazon and most of them arrive within a week. the august date is the latest date you should receive it. so expect it to arrive sooner than later. i've had less than 10 that took several weeks to arrive but sometimes it does happen.
When they say "shipped", they mean that the carrier has been notified that your box is waiting to be picked up from them for delivery to you. Depending on the carrier, it may sit there for perhaps a day until the carrier gets a truck over to pick it up and get it on its way. Also, if the item is not being fulfilled by Amazon then the shipping information accuracy is up to the other vendor.
So, shipped does not mean it is actually moving through space to get to you yet.
It depends on the type of shipping you chose and if it's coming from amazon or an actual seller and where they are located. But if it's been shipped and it's coming from within the states I would say probably a few days.
DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH with Amazon. They are the SLOWEST. I try to avoid ordering from Amazon. At least eBay, you get it in just a few days. Some orders at lightning speed even. But forget Amazon. My orders always take long to arrive, but they do arrive. Don't worry.
They only give you far estimated dates so you don't worry. The always do that. No worries.
