Ignoring the question about how an iPhone could be critical to your school work, if your normal daily delivery has already come and gone then it won't be here today. It would be quite rare for UPS or USPS to make a second pass along the route unless you paid for some special delivery (like Express Mail or similar), which may be on a separate truck and different schedule.
You should buy a phone in person. The post office and the seller cannot guarantee an exact delivery date. Unless it comes by Federal Express it will come only when the mail comes.
Nobody here knows your delivery man's habits. give it another day.
