Of course. People who don't have Macs are the only ones who complain about how it's "overpriced"; I have definitely spent more money on windows computers since they don't last more than a year or two. My Mac has lasted me for 5 years now and works just like new. Also, anytime you encounter a problem, you can just take it to the genius bar and they'll help you figure it out without any issue. I also find it much more user friendly since the multi-touch trackpad and overall feel of it is really smooth, also no viruses which is awesome

No, apple is a junk brand with overpriced products. If you want a real computer go with a windows (windows 10 is going to be awesome!). Look at the specs of a comparable product to the macbook and you will see how this brand is ripping off everyone.

I've had my Macbook Pro for 6 years and have never had a problem with it. Don't have to worry about viruses and other nasty stuff. Apple doesn't have to do 'fixes' every other day. I purchased a rebuilt one and have never looked back. I have an iPhone 5S and just ordered an iPhone 6 and have an iPad as well. I'm Apple all the way!

You are paying a lot more for some subtle niceties, seems like overkill for some school kid prone to losing their backpacks, if you can't justify it with special needs you might be able to get by doing the basics on a $300 windows laptop. Professionals like a touring musician using it with pro tools, etc can more easily justify.

If you're looking for the user experience and physical durability, yes. But if you are looking for cheap or customization, then PCs are better options.
