He want to leave / stop his Fridays work and want to continue on his SAT, SUN and MONDAY's work.

please help me in writing a impressive letter?

Dear Sir

I am writing to inform you that I want to reduce my work days from four days to three days. Recently I have a health issues that I am not able to work four days. I would like to stop my Fridays work and I want to continue my Saturday, Sunday and Mondays work.

I kindly request you to permit me to leave my Fridays work from 14/02/2014 and start my three days work from 15/02/2014.

In addition, can you please rearrange my 2013 / 2014 holidays which I was booked ready.

Your kind co-operation in this regard will highly be appreciated.

Thanking you,

Yours truly

Visit a doctor and get a sick note that'll strengthen any argument in reference to changing hours. The note seems fine but he must be prepared for the chance of being moved onto another section or off nights as the condition is bad and he could not carry on his current job. That also includes a change in hours or days due to whatever vacancy needs to be filled. Best advice: go sick, get note and trigger the sick process rather than writing notes far quicker and effective if he wants change quickly.

Your letter seems fine, just send it as it is, however your partner stands no chance of being reduced to 4 days per week just because he is too lazy to work on Fridays. Come on lets get real, unusual pain in the hands? What is that? Never heard of it.

How come your lazy partner only gets these unusual pains in his hands only on Fridays and not during the other 4 days? I think both you and your partner have to stop behaving so childishly and grow up now. Nobody at Tesco will believe such a silly excuse - this is not nursery school, this is real life adult stuff so grow up and stop finding lame excuses.

If he can work for 3 days then he is fit to work for 4 days. One day less is not going to make any difference. He should see his Doctor, find out what is wrong and receive treatment.

As it is it will look like he does not WANT to work on a Friday as he has something else he wants to do.

UK

He asks permission to reduce his hours, and see what happens

If Tesco require him to work 4 nights, then he might have problems reducing his hours

He needs to go and see a doctor first, not cut his hours
