because people are idiots and have to have the latest stupid toy/gadget and heaven forbid if one of the lemmings waits 3 months after a new version comes out to get it - golly, they will be laughed at by all their friends

people seem to want all the latest gadgets, even if its a watch which lasts one day on its battery
Cos they are considered trendy and "fashionable" because everyone buys it but i prefer android phones but both are good :)
