Why are most managers egotistical?

Wow, if you're going to make such massive sweeping generalizations about groups of people, you're going to go through your life hating everyone.

I had a bad experience with an employee who was stealing. Why are all employees thieves?

See how that works?

Management is one of the most difficult places to be in business. People under you don't like you and think you're "egotistical" because it's your job to tell them what to do and nobody's gonna tell them nothin'. From the other side, the executive level blames the managers for everything that goes wrong.

I think you should try it some time. You might learn something. Then again, maybe you're better suited to stay down at the employee level forever.

I think until you've walked a mile in the shoes of management, it's hard to understand. People tend to believe managers have all this autonomy-- that they can do what they want, and they take all this time off, etc. But the truth is that their feet are held to the fire. They're often called on to do the grunt work their bosses don't want to do. Or they're given broad instructions like, cut your payroll spending. So then he or she has to make the hard choices. So sometimes they seem to have only their own or the company's interests in mind, but it's usually so much bigger than that. Trust me, it's easier to be the subordinate than the manager.

I don't know that they are, my managers at the moment are very humble and friendly,

yahoo adminsitrators are idiots.
