Planning on a vacation with my wife, Courtney. I've been to different money changers and no one has Hawaiian currency. One of the money changer was laughing when I asked for a Hawaiian money. Is it because Hawaiian currency is so rare or what ?

Hawaii is part of the United States. They use dollars.

There is no "Hawaiian currency". Hawaii is a state in the USA and as such, it uses the dollar, just like every other state. Take lots of it, everything is hugely expensive there. Aloha, Dr.S

Of course they laughed, at someone who doesn't know that Hawaii is the 50th US state. As it is a US state, what currency do you THINK it uses?
