In transit and out for delivery are not the same thing. Don't expect your package to come today.
In transit is different than out for delivery. In transit usually means it's still getting to the local delivery station.
However, I know that FedEx can get their wires crossed sometime, so if the package is out for delivery, and there's no time guarantee on the package, then you will get it by the end of the delivery day. I've had packages come as late as 8pm.
If you regularly get packages at your house, you should have an idea of when the driver usually is in your area. FedEx is usually before 10am for me and UPS is usually around 3pm.
It can come much later in the day, say 5 or 6 pm
Could be delivered as late as 8 p.m., but rarely after 6 p.m.
